Jacob’s ladder

Jacob Singer (Michael Ealy) was a medic in Afghanistan and is now a trauma surgeon in Atlanta with his wife Samantha Singer (Nicole Beharie) and their small son Gabriel. Suddenly, Jacob notices other elderly who are severely deformed. He’s not sure whether what he’s seeing is genuine or a hallucination, especially when an elderly man is thrown in front of a subway car and no one can be found. He then discovers that his brother Isaac, who was slain in the battle, is still alive. Isaac is hooked to The Ladder, a narcotic prescribed to the elderly by pharmacist Hoffman.
