Kate Abbot (Milla Jovovich) is a high-ranking Foreign Service officer who has just been assigned to the U.S. Embassy in London to help solve the problem of visa applicants for suspected terrorists trying to enter the United States. When a man arrives raising red flags, her immediate supervisor Bill Talbot (Robert Forster) pooh-poohs her suspicions and when she tries to investigate further, she meets an official British inspector Paul Anderson (James D’Arcy) and the US Ambassador Maureen Crane (Angela Bassett) pursue both. Of course, he’s onto something after all and a top-notch assassin known only as The Watchmaker Nash (Pierce Brosnan) is brought in to take him out.
