A father in a border hamlet in Texas begins smuggling narcotics in order to pay for his son’s cancer treatment. Jim (Michael Ray Escamilla) and Bee (Bra Blair), a truck driver and grocery clerk, struggle to deal with a pile of medical costs after their son is diagnosed with severe cancer. They are obliged to pay $250,000 for care in their hour of greatest need. Jim eventually chooses to transfer narcotics across the US/Mexico border during this emotional and financial crisis.
